Super-fancy-likey animations are dead?

The website is built using Gridsome and Vue, using only basic CSS and more advanced best praticies about web speed. Results: It is blaze fast!

Removed everything could cause any performance issue, it is backend-less. To insert posts i simply use Markdown files and CI to compile.

Basically simple syntax transform in real content!

I do not want amazing website it work only latest chrome well.

You could reference to Awwwards to understand what i means. It contains very INSANE web projects, but basically most of them are super heavy. Looking into random one, it is more than 10 mb just to say "Hi, contact me". I think this is pretty stupid, or better explain. This is stupid for almost every site. If site is craft to being super fancy it is ok, but don't lose functionality and performance just to say: HEY LOOK I AM CRAZY AND NICE I AM

Could someone explain me the sense behind optimize image to remove 200 Kb and then include 4 different animation libraries and 2 webgl with 40 mb textures?

CPU Usage

Probably just to show us how much our brand new CPU / GPU are strong lol.

You never did and never will have these projects?

Of course my darling i did many (some won also global awards). Wasn't a blog or something like this, was fancy website, usability and speed wasn't the focus behind them.

That's all, thanks for reading my first post. This one is useless of course, but on the next one i will cover some programming and engineering arguments.

I wish I believed that was possible. But every time I've seen this web world change, it's always been for the worse.

lol
